Bald Eagle soaring over Kenai PeninsulaI just got back from a marvelous trip to the Kenai Peninsula in Alaska to photography Bald Eagles.  The trip was very successful with lots of flight and fishing shots.  If you are interested in a trip like this contact Dale Franz at www.franzfoto.com.

The 1DMark 4 performed flawlessly with no difficulty focusing on fast moving eagles in low light.  I shot an average of 2000 images a day!  We also had opportunities for Sea Otters and Harbor Seals as well as spectacular scenic shots.

I just got back from Alaska and am editing my pictures. Saw about 15 Brown bears and cubs. We also spent a day photographing waterfowl. Here are a few shots. I will be posting more on my website www.yellowstonenaturephotography in the near future.Sow and cub 6-18-09EOS-1D Mark III-090618-9511

The shot on the left shows some of the new additions at Pahaska, just outside the East gate of Yellowstone.  The Pahaska foxes brought out their 6 new pups.  More to follow.
